A police official said this Thursday, that there is total of 26 suspects are dead and been killed in different operations in Manila.

Their personnel is still doing the official report on the operations, said by Manila Police District spokesperson Superintendent Edwin Margarejo.

Margarejo said in a SMS message to GMA News Online“‘Yung official report wala pa po considering na 26 na ‘yung latest na napatay at overtime pa rin po ang mga imbestigador natin sa homicide,”.

The operations were conducted from Wednesday up to Thursday in the morning, he said.

All the operations conducted by the police were legitimate, said by Deputy Director General Tomas Apolinario, Philippine National Police deputy chief for administration.

Deputy Director General Tomas Apolinario told reporters this “Lahat ‘yan legitimate operations. Sinusuportahan natin ang ating pulis. Also, I would like to get the support of the community that the PNP is doing its job,”.

Since the Duterte administration took office, Apolinario said the anti-illegal drug operations of the PNP never stopped.

Oscar Albayalde, the National Capital Region Police Office chief Director believed the anti-drug operations have been highlighted because of the increase of deaths in the recent raids in Bulacan.

He said “Ever since relentless ang efforts natin against illegal drugs. Time and again we have conducted one-time big time,”.

“Na-highlight lang ito dahil sa nangyari sa Bulacan. Since pag-upo ng Pangulo ganito na ang sigasig against illegal drugs,”

Bulacan officers conducted continues drug raids in Bulacan from 12 in the morning of August 15 to 12 still in the morning  August 16.The suspects being killed in Bulacan rise to 32 suspects in just 24 hours while 107 others have been arrested, Romeo Caramat, a police director Senior Supt. said last Wednesday.
