“He is also the clinical director of the Philippine Movement Disorder Surgery Center, which pioneered ‘Deep Brain Stimulation’ surgery for Filipino patients afflicted with a rare genetic movement disorder called ‘X-Linked Dystonia Parkinsonism,'” pahayag ng DOST.
“He is also an avid eclipse chaser, and he has traveled overseas with members of the ALP to observe and photograph total and annular solar eclipses in China, Indonesia, the U.S., and Singapore,” wika pa ng DOST.
“I am really at a loss for words. Not even in my wildest dreams have I imagined having an asteroid named after me,” anito.
Man hasn’t taken a bath for 22 years because of a ‘vow’
If a lot of us could not stand having no shower for days, well, it is entirely different for a senior citizen from Bihar, India who has not taken a bath since he was 40.
In an exclusive interview with ETV Bharat, 62-year-old Dharamdev Ram shared what has been known in his hometown, Baikunthpur, for more than two decades now: his vow to stop taking a bath and only start having a shower again if the reasons why he shunned bathing stop.
“In 1975, I worked in a factory in Jagdal, Bengal, and got married in 1978 and was leading a normal life,” Ram narrated to ETV Bharat.
“But in 1987,” he continued, “I suddenly realized that land di
sputes, the k illing of animals, and atroc ities against women had started increasing. So, in search of an answer, I approached a ‘guru’ who took me as his disciple and inspired me to follow the path of devotion. Since then, I headed on the path of devotion and started meditating for Lord Rama.”
And that’s it; as everybody in his town knows, he hasn’t taken a bath or even a quick shower since 2000 or for 22 years straight, and he will continue doing so until viol
ence against women, land d isputes, and killing of innocent animals come to an end.
Ram lost his job after his boss learned about his unusual pledge, but such did not make him turn his back on his vow.
Now in his old age, Ram already lost his wife and son, but said he remains healthy despite and continues to cling to what he has been compelled to do.

Go for it!
Marami rin umanong ups and down bago nila nakamit ang narating nila ngayon.
Payo ni Danice, “To the young individuals out there, after you have calculated the risks and you think na okay siya, p’wede siya, doable siya, but you’re still scared to try it, that’s when I will say, ‘go for it'”
“As crazy as it sounds, bago kayo mag-start, i-make sure niyo na talaga na it is something that you really really really really want to do,” payo naman ni Jamaica. Iba kasi pag may passion sa iyong pinapasok na negosyo. Sabi nga, ‘Do what you love!”

Heartbreaking: Wife left by husband after giving birth to 5th pair of twins
While children are seen as blessings from above, a man from Uganda might have a different perception as he left his growing family when his wife gave birth to their fifth pair of twins.
In an interview with NTV Mwasuze Mutya, Nalongo Gloria shared how she lost the man she loves after giving birth to her ninth and 10th children. In the words of her husband Ssalongo, “it wasn’t normal”, so he packed his things and left; saying he could not take care of her and their children anymore.
“When I got pregnant with twins again, my man said this was too much for him and told me to go home,” Gloria said. “Where he was sending me, I didn’t have their numbers anymore because I came to Kampala to work as a house girl. He told me that if I can’t produce one child, he can’t take care of me.”
Gloria has not heard anything from him since the day he went away. Still, despite struggling so much to make ends meet while taking care of her children, she does not regret her choice to keep them, as her faith in God’s plans stays deep within her h
“I don’t regret giving birth to all these children. I know their father doesn’t like them, but I can’t abandon them. Despite the challenges, I will never abandon my kids. I know God will provide. I have suffered, but God knows best,” she expressed.
Gloria currently lives with seven of her 10 kids. The eldest pair of twins has already left the nest while the other one had “gone too soon.”
