On Twitter, the actor shared the clip showing the vice president’s fangirling moment.
“Oh my God!” she screamed. “Si Piolo Pascual nanonood. Bigla ako na-conscious.”
But eventually, she managed to thank him for endorsing her a few days ago, “Thank you very much for the support. Siguro nakarating na sa ’yo, even before, that I’m such a huge, huge fan. So ‘yong pag-declare mo ng support, it really meant the world. So maraming salamat.”

Just recently Piolo revealed via a video uploaded on Instagram that his presidential bet is Vice President Leni Robredo.
“Si Leni Robredo ang Presidente ko…” he shared on his IG wall.

In a h
eartwarming post following her mother’s proclamation rally, Tricia Robredo earlier shared one of their conversations before her mother filed her candidacy a few months back.
“It took a lot of whys and why nots before she arrived at the decision to run. Over dinner, just a few short nights before she filed her candidacy, my sisters and I asked why we couldn’t just pack up, exit quietly, and let things run their natural course. We already knew what was at stake, but we asked anyway just to exhaust everything out,” Tricia wrote.
“Mama’s always been objective and she rarely gets emotional or fragile. But at one point in that conversation, I remember her saying, ‘Paano na nasimulan ni Papa?’” she continued.
And when she saw the big crowd cheering for her mother during the rally, it all became worth it.
“We’ve been talking about hope a lot more recently. As someone who’s also been jaded for quite some time, I find it refreshing and electrifying. We fight because we hope for better. But coming home to Naga and seeing my Mama last night, I’m reminded of something that’s just as precious and just as powerful. A love that remembers, a love that inspires, a love that transcends. For country. For city. For Jesse,” she expressed.
“Ang nagmamahal walang-sawang ipaglalaban ang minamahal. Walang dapat ikatakot,” she added.
Sen.
Congrats to my son Emilio on his graduation at the Ateneo de Manila University. Admittedly an improvement, mas pogi, mas matangkad, mas matalino!”
“Manifesting greatness takes time and patience. The journey towards our own center may be challenging, but it is an opportunity worth taking.”

“Have some people gone this low in socmed? Some even making fun of my accident and injuries in a page of a major daily. What is happening to some Pinoys? We are not like this. Supposedly we are one of the friendliest people in the world. This is cruel, bordering on evil.”
Giselle Sanchez explains decision to accept role in ‘Maid in Malacañang’ amid criticisms
Actress Giselle Sanchez, who plays the role of former Pres. Cory Aquino in Maid in Malacañang, explained her decision to accept the project.
In her column published by the Manila Bulletin, which she also posted on Facebook, Giselle said she has always been a fan of director Darryl Yap and that she believes Yap is the “most brilliant director of his time.”
“Yap told me, ‘We want an intelligent and educated lady to play her role.’ And that was the selling piece – Direk Darryl Yap plus the requirements to play ‘her character,'” she said.
Giselle also admitted talking to Sen. Imee Marcos to confirm one of the lines on her script.
“My heart started pounding when I saw the line, ‘Get them out of the Philippines.’ In my mind, this was something I did not know, I haven’t read, this was something new. And anything new will receive only two reactions, positive reactions and negative reactions,” she added.
“I personally texted Senator Imee Marcos and she texted back in Filipino, ‘Yun daw ang sabi ng mga Kano.'”
Giselle said she then realized that she only knows one side of the story and it is now time to give the Marcoses a chance to share their side.

“With what Senator Imee told me, I began to realize, all this time, what I have been reading in historical books and print media and watching and listening on television and radio during the eighties and nineties was the other camp’s side of the story because they were the ones’ sitting in the administration,” Giselle said.
“Now that the coin has flipped, let’s give a chance for the Marcoses to tell their side of the story, the way they know it.”
Moreover, she also mentioned Yap’s clarifying statement that the movie is not a biopic.
“Lastly Direk Daryl Yap would like to remind everybody that, “Maid in Malacañang is NOT a bio-pic. This is a story of a family,” she said.
Maid in Malacañang is a film about the last 72 hours of the Marcos family in Malacañang in 1986, which has received criticisms from some netizens for its alleged attempt to distort history. It will be shown in cinemas on August 3, 2022.
‘P’wede dahan-dahan lang?’ Sen. Robin Padilla admits difficulty understanding English-speaking colleagues
Newly-elected Sen. Robin Padilla admitted having a hard time keeping up with his colleagues in the Senate who are conversing in English during plenary debates.
In an interview with reporters, Sen. Padilla said he will take advantage of the Senate journal in order to fully understand what his fellow lawmakers are discussing.
Kaya mahalaga ‘yong journal eh. Kaya binabasa ko ‘yong journal kasi nandun lahat eh, mahalaga ‘yon,” Sen. Padilla explained.
Asked by a reporter what he does in order to catch up with discussions, he said: “Nakatunganga lang ako. ‘Ah okay.’ Bukas mababasa ko sa journal ito.”
He added that it is a challenge to him whenever his colleagues start using deep English words, especially during debates.
Hindi naman ako pinagsalita eh,” he also said.
It can be remembered that the neophyte senator also said that he believes that Filipino should be used more often, because English is more widely used especially in government issuances.
Sen. Padilla was the frontrunner during the May 2022 senatorial race after receiving 26.6 million votes.
