DSWD Sec. Tulfo reminds employees to treat ‘customers’ with respect

Former radio anchor and newly-appointed Department of Social Welfare and Development (DWSD) Sec. Erwin Tulfo has called on its employees to treat “customers” with respect.

Sec. Tulfo also warned that those disrespecting people who need assistance will be meted with suspension.

He also reminded employees that those seeking help are the reason that they have jobs to do.

Sec. Tulfo also announced that his first action is extending the contracts of employees under Cost of Service (COS) employment.

During the turnover ceremony, former DSWD Sec. Rolado Joselito Bautista handed Sec. Tulfo the Transition Handbook as a symbol of duties and responsibilities; the Social Amelioration Program (SAP) Coffee Table Book and Terminal Report as a symbol of the Department’s accomplishments despite challenging circumstances; the DSWD Red Vest which represents the dedication and compassionate service of DSWD employees; and the DSWD Colors which represent the people served by the Agency across the country.

“Viewed in light of all the foregoing, and taking the evidence presented in the bail hearings as a whole, this court is not convinced at this point, that there exists a presumption great leading to the inference of the accused’s guilt,” ayon sa nasabing court order.

“It must be emphasized, however, that a grant of bail does not prevent the Court, as trier of facts, from making a final assessment of the evidence after full trial on the merits,” dagdag pa nito.

“Wherefore, premises considered, the petition for bail is hereby GRANTED. The bail of the accused for his provisional liberty is hereby fixed at One Million Pesos (Php 1,000,000.00),” ayon pa sa court order.

Ako rin nagpahukay no’n.

“Kaya sabi nitong Catapang, gagawing tunnel? Ang layo-layo no’n.

Ang dami naming scuba divers do’n.

“The same being an operational matter, the BuCor probably did not find it necessary to inform, much less seek authorization from, the DOJ,” paliwanag ni Guevarra.
