Heart Evangelista’s mom speaks up on Heart-Chiz split rumors: ‘I know they will be OK’
Heart Evangelista’s mom Cecilia Ongpauco has spoken up on rumors that her daughter and husband Sen. Chiz Escudero have parted ways.
Although she can neither confirm nor deny the issue because she has yet to speak to Heart and Sen. Chiz, she remains positive that if the rumor is true, the couple will get through whatever challenge they might be facing.
“It’s their private life so I am just praying for them. I know they will be OK! I’ve known Chiz to be a mature and grounded person. That’s why I am happy for my daughter,” she told ABS-CBN News.
Rumors about their split started when eagle-eyed netizens noticed that Heart dropped ‘Escudero’ from her Instagram handle. It was also fueled by Heart’s recent vlog wherein she admitted going through personal struggles.
“You know I’ve always been such a happy person and I’ve always been somebody who just goes against the tides and just lets the waves crash on me,” Heart said.
“I’m not gonna lie, I’ve been going through a lot of personal stuff in my mind but you know, at the end of the day, I’m still very grateful and as long as there’s life, there’s hope.”
Heart said she is now focusing on simple things that make her happy. “It’s about the simplest things in life that are very important and that really makes a person happy and that’s where I’m at now.”
It can be remembered that Heart’s parents did not attend her wedding with Chiz in Balesin, but they eventually patched things up.
In a vlog last year, Ongpauco told Heart what she admires about her marriage with Chiz.
“You know what I like about your marriage? You allow each other to grow. You don’t stunt her growth. You don’t cramp her style. I think that’s what’s good about their marriage. He allows her to grow, mature on her own.”
Inusisa ng entertainment reporters si Star Magic Head Direk Lauren Dyogi kaugnay sa kontrobersyal na pahayag ni Liza Soberano sa kaniyang vlog.
Matatandaang sinabi ni Liza na hindi siya nabigyan ng pagkakataong magdesisyon para sa sarili.
“I had always been told what to do, what to wear, what to say and what not to say. I know this was for my own good. It was to protect me and my career, but it was a career that I had no say in. A career that in many ways wasn’t mine. I didn’t even choose the name Liza. It was chosen for me,” sabi niya.
Ani Direk Lauren, iniisip niya na lang kung ano talaga ang nais iparating ni Liza – ang kagustuhang hanapin ang sarili na karapatan naman niyang gawin.
“Iniisip ko na lang kung ano talaga yung gusto niyang sabihin. Minsan kasi it’s just a manner of how you say it. Maybe she meant something else… Kaya lang her being outspoken sometimes, to some people, hindi ‘yun dumadating nang tama,” sabi niya sa panayam na ibinahagi ng PEP sa kanilang YouTube channel.
“But take it as it is, she is just saying that she wants to find her own self and she wants to explore it on her own and we should allow her that because it’s her life.”
Naniniwala rin si Direk Lauren na maraming artista ang nakapag-isip-isip kung ano talaga ang nais nilang gawin dahil sa pandemya.
“I think the pandemic did a lot to our artists, hindi lang naman kay Liza. Ang dami na talagang napapaisip kung ano talaga yung gusto nilang gawin. ’Yung isolation, ‘yung pandemya, ‘yung shutdown ng network, it really forces us to think about the future in our own decision,” dagdag pa niya.
Naisip niya rin daw na maaaring nag-quarter life questioning si Liza na normal namang pinagdadaanan.
“Nangyayari naman sa atin yun e. So we allow her to explore and aspire for something better for herself… Let’s just wish her well because her achievements and accomplishments are also accomplishments for us, especially for those people who helped her in the beginning.”
Labis ang saya ng online personality na si Madam Inutz matapos muling magkita ang anak at ang kaniyang ex-partner matapos ang dalawang taon.
Paliwanag ni Madam Inutz, ngayon na lang ulit nagkaroon ng pagkakataon ang ex na bumisita sa Pilipinas kaya naman masaya siya para sa anak na si Jade.
“Nagbabalik yung ex ko, hindi para sa akin. Siyempre para makita ang nag-iisa naming anak,” pagbibiro ni Madam Inutz sa panimula ng ibinahaging vlog.
“Ngayon pwede na ulit mag-travel, open na ulit lumabas ng bansa. So ang daddy niya, nagka-chance na uli na makauwi dito sa Pilipinas.”
Paliwanag niya, wala siyang nararamdamang galit o bitterness sa kaniyang ex dahil pinili na niyang patawarin ito.
“No bitterness, no hate, just love for my daughter lang talaga. Mas maigi na piliin natin na maging open tayo sa mga ex natin. Yun bang wala tayong hinanakit, wala tayong bitterness, wala tayong hate para sa ating mga anak. At saka mas nakakaluwag sa mga damdamin natin yung wala tayong galit. ‘Ika nga, patawarin mo ang mga taong nagkasala sa’yo,” aniya.
Payo niya sa mga kagaya niyang hiwalay sa partner o asawa, huwag idamay ang bata sa hidwaan nila.
“Pag may hindi magandang nangyari sa inyong dalawa, ‘wag n’yo nang idamay sa hidwaan n’yo yung anak nyo. Mas maganda yung maging friends kayo para yung anak nyo, kahit hiwalay kayo, nagagabayan pa rin natin siya. Hindi napuputol yung communication nila kahit sa phone lang, video call.”
Nang makita ni Jade ang kaniyang daddy ay agad niya itong sinalubong ng yakap. Nakausap din ni Madam Inutz ang bagong karelasyon ng ex at sinabing may tiwala siya rito.
“Napakasaya ko kasi masaya yung anak ko. Yun naman yung importante. Kaligayahan ng ating mga anak. Katulad niyan, nakita ko masaya yung anak ko, ang sarap sa pakiramdam. Ganun dapat,” sabi pa niya.
Emosyal sina Dra. Vicki Belo at Dr. Hayden Kho sa mensaheng ibinahagi sa pagdiriwang ng anak na si Scarlet Snow ng kaniyang kaarawan.
Sa kaniyang Instagram post ay sinabi ni Vicki na tila hindi niya namalayang walong taong gulang na si Scarlet.
“It feels like I blinked and suddenly you’re 8 years old! @scarletsnowbelo you are such a gift to our family and I love watching you grow kinder, sweeter, more responsible, and more godly everyday,” aniya pa.
Nagpasalamat din siya dahil laging pinagdarasal ni Scarlet ang magandang kalusugan para sa kaniya.
“Thank you for always praying for mommy to be healthy, you keep me healthy by making me so happy. I love you so much my Scarlet Snow!!”
Samantala, proud naman si Hayden sa nasaksihang paglaki ni Scarlet bilang responsable at independent na bata ngayon.
“Happy 8th Birthday to our sweet Scarlet Snow! Watching you grow up has been such a joy – it feels like just yesterday you were taking your first steps, and now you’re becoming more responsible and independent every day,” caption ni Hayden sa ibinahaging larawan.
“We’re so proud of the person you’re becoming and can’t wait to see all the amazing things you’ll accomplish. Love you to the moon and back!”
Samantala, ibinahagi naman ni Scarlet ang birthday wish niya sa isang post.
“Happy 8th Birthday to me! I’m feeling older, wiser, and taller (Mommy says I’m too tall for my age). As I celebrate another year of life, I’m excited to learn new things and make new friends,” ani Scarlet.
“My wish is to become more responsible, loving, and funny (somebody in the family has to be funny). But seriously, I’m looking forward to all the adventures and surprises that God has in store for me. And if all else fails, there’s always cake!” sabi niya pa.Sc
