Young Pinoy barber in Canada attracts rich clients, influencers because of his haircutting skills

Because of his cutting skills, an 18-year-old Filipino barber in Canada has gaineed many clients.

Among his clientele are millionaires and big personalities, and sometimes his client picks him up by helicopter.

In the story of ‘Dapat Alam mo!’ by Oscar Oida, it was disclosed that Jamiel Bustos, who’s from Toronto, started to love cutting hair when he was only four years old.

He was also around that age when his family flew to Canada to give him a better opportunity.

According to Jamiel’s Mother Leslie, Jamiel was deliberately picky when it came to his haircut.

“Every now and then na magpapagupit, ‘Mom I wanna try another one, I didn’t like my haircut before.’ Siguro nandoon ‘yung interes niya sa ganu’n,” Leslie said.

One day, Jamiel thought that he was the only one who could make his own hairstyle.

“I love getting my haircut. I would get my haircut once a week. So I was like ‘You know what, might as well try this one on my own.’ So I started cutting my own hair,” Jamiel said.

Then later on Jamiel discovered that he has a talent for cutting hair.

“It felt amazing finally having someone sit in the chair and actually trusting me. It’s all about trust and it’s all about, it’s your image right? You want to look as best as possible and the person doing your hair is pretty much in control of that,” he shared.

So after school or basketball practice, Jamiel would go to the barber shop and get a haircut, or watch barbers cut hair.

Jamiel posted his haircutting videos on Tiktok, and many netizens enjoyed it.

Because of his videos, he was noticed by big personalities in Canada, and had customers who were businessmen, lawyers, real estate developers and company CEOs.

One of his big clients, he said, even had him picked up by a helicopter. Oh wow!

Carrying his gold briefcase containing his cutting tools, Jamiel has been to different countries for important clients.

“When I first started cutting hair I’ve had some people not pay for their haircut, I’ve had some people that complained. I just use the haters as motivation. I just  kept doing it, I kept practicing,” Jamiel said.

Jamiel’s service is exclusive at the moment but he plans to build a barbershop in the near future.

‘Most challenging yet fulfilling journey’: Iza Calzado shares photo of her and Baby Deia Amihan

Just a few days ago, first time Mom Iza Calzado-Wintle gave us a glimpse of her baby girl as she shared a photo of their bundle of joy which shows her little mouth and chin as well as her tiny hands.

She announced to her friends and followers that their precious baby was born on the 26th of January.

“Words can’t describe the love we’re feeling as we introduce our precious baby girl, Deia Amihan Calzado Wintle,” the actress wrote. Wow! Inspired from her Encantadia character!

“Born on January 26th, 2023, she’s already stolen our hearts and brought so much joy into our lives. We’re so grateful to God for this gift and for the love and support from our family and friends. We can’t wait for all the adventures that lie ahead. Big love from our family to yours! ❤️❤️❤️  ” she added.

Congratulations and heartwarming messages from fellow celebrity friends and followers poured on Iza’s announcement post.

A few days after that announcement, she shared an unfiltered photo of her with Baby Deia Amihan in her arms which she said was taken a few days after she gave  birth; adding it was taken “right after I cried so hard from a few “failures” I felt I had as a new mother mixed with the deep love I was feeling for my child, the kind I have never felt for anyone before.”

Apparently, the new Mom feels overwhelmed by everything that has transpired. Yes, motherhood opens up a box of different emotions which she described in the following lines she shared.

“It’s quite a punch, the first few days, weeks post birth. Hindi siya madali. I am still recovering from it all but every day gets better and better. I am on my ninth week post partum and we are a few weeks away from completing the fourth trimester. This is, by far, the most challenging yet fulfilling journey I have been on and I know it is only the beginning.

“At this point, I find myself navigating this transition in the best way I know how — with faith, compassion, gratitude and love knowing I am divinely guided and supported,” she added.

She goes on to say that she will be sharing “some of the challenges, the precious, joyfilled moments and the grace in all of it when the time is right.”

“Grabe, what a ride! I am becoming, I am evolving into — wait.. I am a Mother! An imperfectly perfect Mother to my precious child, Deia. Biruin mo yun? A gift indeed. Thank You, Lord!” 🙏🏽

She also promised to share more photos but for the moment she asked for understanding as she and her husband Ben Wintle are “savoring our baby a bit more and honoring our fourth trimester. Pagbigyan na. Salamat!”

Well, that means please don’t bash if they are not pouring baby photos on social media as yet. Let us be patient, fans! We wish them joy and peace in their new status as parents. Congratulations!

“No bitterness, no hate, just love for my daughter lang talaga.

“Zoe Gabriel, Content Creator and CHARLES &KEITH’S Brand Community Ambassador, with the purple Alia bag. The launch of this special iteration of the Alia bag is in support of UN Women’s ‘Storytelling for Gender Equality’ programme,” sabi ng Charles & Keith sa kanilang Instagram post.

“Women are like flowers: our time and needs to grow may not always align, but that is okay. We are like fields of poppy and lakes of lotus – diverse and bold in our differences, beautiful in our own ways,” pahayag niya.

“This International Women’s Day, let us celebrate with compassion. Let us celebrate with equality through equity, the way flowers do.”

“To you, an $80 bag may not be a luxury, but for me and my family, it is a lot. And I’m so grateful that my dad was able to get me one. He worked so hard for that money. I can’t believe I got hate over a bag I was so excited to have,” sabi niya sa isang TikTok video.

“We had the chance to sit down with Keith and get to know their company a little better. Thank you to everybody who has shown their support!!! Without you, we would never be here,” pagpapasalamat niya.

“Woooww just wowww the first brand ambassador I’ve heard not because she was famous for looks or lifestyle. But a brand ambassador who got famous for spreading positivity and good manners. Turning negative critics to a life lesson for everyone,” sabi ng isang netizen.
